My friend <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dnauck\">Daniel Nauck<\/a> created a wonderful open source <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/dnauck\/Portable.Licensing\">licensing project<\/a> (see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.navision-blog.de\/blog\/2013\/03\/06\/license-all-the-things-with-portable-licensing\/\">my blog post<\/a>) and now we had to see this:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/jimitndiaye\/Portable.Licensing\/commit\/b22c65105e1d2a5d1e0746b55236219dcb2ee1d9\"><img loading=\"lazy\" style=\"background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"image\" border=\"0\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.navision-blog.de\/images\/Dont-be-that-guy_9C7E\/image.png\" width=\"504\" height=\"533\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I am not a lawyer and rebranding a tool might be permitted by the <a href=\"http:\/\/opensource.org\/licenses\/MIT\">MIT license<\/a>, but seriously what are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.teamknowledge.co.uk\/\">they<\/a> thinking?<\/p>\n<p>They even removed license information from the source files.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\/\/ The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be      <br \/>\/\/ included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It\u2019s really ironic to violate the license of a licensing tool, but please don\u2019t be that guy!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I love to work on open source projects, but from time to time I have my doubts.
